Family Trip to Simala

Our beautiful family trip to Simala, Sibonga, Cebu city. My very first and parents' 4th. I gotta say everything you read in the papers and in blogs all over the world about it is true. The place is so majestic that when you enter the gate, it's like entering the gates of heaven kinda feel to it. The palace is so beautiful, it's like the one you see in fairytale books where it's hidden on top of the mountains, in the middle of the forest. Lol.. The trip going there is exhausting but when you get there and experience the beauty first hand, read and see the testimonials of the devotees you'd be ashamed of even whining. The structure of how it's built is incomparable. There's huts and cottages for family get-together, where they can bring food and picnic beside the amazing view of the waterfalls or the small bridge crossing a pond. I remember we lighted different colored candles each signifies a certain petition. We wanted to kiss the miraculous Virgin Mary but the line was too long that time, we realized that weekend is the busiest time to visit the place.. Not a very good decision. But on the bright side, we got to explore the interior of the church and offered some prayers and petitions. Drank the water, that was said to be miraculous and brought some home. We stayed there for about 4 hours and I tell you folks once is not enough you gotta try it for the second time..
